Over the past year, the City has been focusing on water quality related issues in the distribution system. The City has installed a number of water quality monitoring stations to provide real-time data to the Public Works Department. Additionally, staff has been installing several new flushing devices in the system. Along with these devices, additional staff resources have been allocated to provide additional monitoring and sampling. Staff is looking to install an additional monitoring station and additional automated blow-off devices in various locations in the system. This project is anticipated to cost $10,000.
