The City currently maintains numerous pavement markings, such as crosswalks, railroad crossing, school crossings and many more. The City uses a thermoplastic product called Hot Tape instead of using paint and reflective beads. Hot Tape lasts longer and is less time intensive to maintain. Paint is reapplied every year and hot tape is every 5 years. Staff will begin with touching up any crosswalks and other markings for schools. Once that is done, staff will continue converting painted markings and repairing damaged markings. The budget for these projects is $25,000.
